Session 5 - Unmasking the Strong Black Woman: Mental Health, Midlife & Liberation

This is a candid, compassionate space to honor the fullness of Black women’s minds, bodies, and lived experiences in midlife. We’ll unpack anxiety, burnout, depression, emotional overwhelm, and the pressure to keep functioning while falling apart inside.

We’ll also normalize ADHD, bipolar disorder, high-functioning autism, PTSD, and other mental health experiences women often mask with busyness, brilliance, caretaking, and “being strong.” Together, we’ll release shame around getting support—including therapy, medication, rest, boundaries, and asking for help before we hit the wall.

We will be joined by Dr. Brenda Pridgen, Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

This is a private, women-only space—all ages welcome

This is a space for honest dialogue, shared wisdom, and support across generations. Whether you’re in the midst of the shift, approaching it, or reflecting back—your voice belongs here.
