Session 13: Holy Shift: Life Beyond the Beliefs We Inherited

For many Black women, questioning long-held religious beliefs can feel both liberating and deeply lonely. Faith has often shaped our families, identities, traditions, and communities, making it difficult to ask hard questions without fear of judgment, rejection, or loss. Whether prompted by life experiences, church hurt, changing values, or simple curiosity, many women find themselves reexamining beliefs they were taught never to question.

This conversation creates space for those navigating religious deconstruction, spiritual curiosity, church hurt, or the challenge of building a life beyond what they inherited. We'll talk about guilt, fear, identity, family expectations, grief, and what happens when old answers no longer fit the lives we're living today.

Together, we'll explore what it means to trust ourselves, reclaim our inner voice, establish personal values, and define meaning on our own terms. This is not about telling anyone what they should believe. It's about creating a compassionate space where questions are welcomed, lived experiences are honored, and every woman has the freedom to examine her beliefs without shame.

Whether you've left organized religion, are questioning your faith, identify as nonreligious, are creating a new spiritual path, or are simply curious about what comes next, you are welcome here. This is a space for honesty, healing, curiosity, thoughtful dialogue, and the freedom to ask difficult questions while respecting the diverse journeys of everyone in the room.
