Session 12: Hot Flashes & Hard Truths: The Menopause Conversation Women Deserve

Joining us for this powerful conversation is Dr. Myiesha Taylor, a board-certified physician (MD) and founder of Taylored Integrative Medicine, whose whole-person approach to women's health helps women navigate midlife with knowledge, confidence, and compassion.

Hot flashes. Dry vaginas. Changing lab work. Disappearing sleep. Shifting moods. Stubborn weight. Low libido. Brain fog. Vaginal dryness. Pain during sex. Changes in the clitoris. Hormones that suddenly seem to have a mind of their own—and all the other things nobody warned us about.

In this raw, honest, and unfiltered conversation, we're breaking the silence around menopause and the changes happening in our bodies. We'll talk about hormones, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), bloodwork, vaginal health, sexual wellness, intimacy, cognitive changes, and the questions so many of us have been too embarrassed—or too dismissed—to ask out loud.

For far too long, Black women have been left out of the conversation. Research has historically underrepresented us, our symptoms are too often minimized or misdiagnosed, and many of us struggle to find healthcare providers who truly understand our lived experiences, cultural realities, and unique health concerns. That's exactly why we wanted this session to be led by a culturally competent physician who not only understands the science but also understands the women sitting in the room.

This is a judgment-free space to ask the questions you've been carrying, compare notes with other women, laugh, learn, and reclaim your health without shame or apology.

Because if our mothers and aunties couldn't talk about it, we're going to. And we're making sure Black women have the information, validation, and medical expertise we've deserved all along.
